Community Living Wallaceburg believes strongly that in order to grow as an organization it must align itself with other like-minded groups. It is by learning from others that solutions will be found and challenges will be overcome.

 

Community Living Ontario

Community Living Ontario is a non-profit, provincial association that advocates for people who have an intellectual disability to be fully included in all aspects of community life. The goal of Community Living Ontario is that all persons live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community, and have the opportunity to participate effectively.

As a provincial association Community Living Ontario has over 12,000 members across the province and represents 117 local Community Living associations across Ontario.

 

OASIS – Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special Needs

One of the primary functions of OASIS is to provide member agencies with a range of benefits to more than offset membership fees. Over the years, the benefits have expanded to include a host of communications opportunities; critical labour relations information; a voice with government; a policy database; educational seminars; job postings and many other great resources.

 

OADD – Ontario Association on Developmental Disabilities

OADD is a professional organization of people working and studying in the field of developmental disabilities throughout Ontario.

Its members include agencies and organizations; university and community college students and instructors; service provider direct care staff and managers; family support workers; case managers; psychologists; social workers; and other dedicated individuals.

 

IAI – Integration Action for Inclusion in Education & Community

Integration Action for Inclusion is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to educational inclusion and community living for people who need extra support.  The group provides support to parents and friends seeking to enrich the lives of their children.

All children have the right to quality education that will prepare them for a full and productive life in the community.  It is our belief that the best way to prepare children who need extra support for community life is to educate them alongside their peers.  This is achieved through individualized programming and supports for all children.

NCE - National Conference of Executives of The Arc

The National Conference of Executives of The Arc (NCE) is committed to providing opportunities for personal and professional support and development of executives of The Arc and other interested professionals to enable them to carry out the mission of The Arc.

The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
