PROGRAM INITIATIVES
Community Living Wallaceburg adapts its resources and utilizes community contacts to organize activities and respond to requests for consumer directed supports. Specific initiatives include:
- Person-centered life planning
- Recruitment and training of volunteers
- Summer youth programs
- Community development - special projects
- Leisure and recreational activities
- Employment and career support including ODSP employment supports
- Accommodations Supports (Independent living to 24 hour)
- Literacy and numeracy training
- Family Managed Respite - flexible & self-directed funding provided on a yearly basis
- Out of Home Respite - available to families who have a child (under 18 years of age) with multiple special needs
- Coordination of Special Services at Home (SSAH) for Chatham-Kent
- Planning and support with transitional age youth

Community Living Wallaceburg maintains a flexible approach and believes that family involvement, strong community partnerships and adequate resourcing will ensure each person's success.
