Employment Services

January 31, 2024

The New Year brings about new chapters and such is the case for Community Living Wallaceburg’s Employment Services Program.

The Province is currently undergoing significant changes in the way it operates and funds employment support programs. After careful consideration, Community Living Wallaceburg has determined that it will be unable to move forward as a service provider under this new model. As a result, we are winding down our Employment Service Program with an official close date of February 29, 2024.

For over 20 years we have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of people with disabilities and other employment related barriers to secure meaningful employment. We are truly proud of the work we have done and the contributions this service has made to our community in Wallaceburg and across Chatham-Kent.

Meaningful employment has the potential to significantly improve someone’s quality of life and people with diverse abilities have so much to offer in the workplace. Community Living Wallaceburg is grateful for all of our hard working clients and our dedicated Employer Partners for helping to make our community more Inclusive and in realizing our Vision that with the support of those around them, people can Dream, Believe, Overcome, and Achieve.

Our first priority through this process has been to minimize any service disruption to our current clients and Employer Partners. We have been facilitating referrals to other designated service providers.

If you are a job seeker looking for assistance, you can access resources through The Windsor Regional Employment Network (https://www.wrenetwork.ca/).
