Join Community Living Wallaceburg as part of the world’s most inclusive giving event!

On February 22, 2012, Community Living Wallaceburg will participate in a revolutionary eight-day global giving campaign spanning more than 60 countries around the world.

Everyone Gives is the world’s Social Giving campaign. It empowers givers to support the causes they care about and multiply their gifts through the power of their personal networks. Everyone Gives and Community Living Wallaceburg believe in the power of relationships as resources. When passionate people are connected with a common purpose, we can change the world – for good.

How to Give

  1. Donate at least $5 to Community Living Wallaceburg through everyonegives.org
  2. Ask two people (or more!) to give to Community Living Wallaceburg.
  3. Ask these two people to reach out to (at least!) two more people, creating a giving tree with exponential growth potential.

Donate through the Everyone Gives website at everyonegives.org and then tap into your social networks via email, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to invite friends, co-workers, clients and family to support Community Living Wallaceburg. One donation becomes five, five becomes 25 and 25 can become hundreds. And track your giving tree and your friends’ giving trees on the Everyone Gives website.

Give a little – the price of an everyday indulgence, or an amount that matters to you. Share the work of Community Living Wallaceburg with your networks, inviting more givers. Multiply your gift exponentially, creating a giving tree with enormous potential.

We Welcome Your Support

Community Living Wallaceburg provides a full range of accommodation, short break, community and employment supports to more than 450 individuals and their families throughout Chatham-Kent. Donations are used to enhance services and supports. Contributions can be made in person at 1100 Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg, by phone at 519-627-0777 or online.

Community Living Wallaceburg is pleased to offer a simple and secure way to make an online donation to our association by partnering with CanadaHelps.org. Since its launch in 2000, CanadaHelps.org has facilitated over $100 million in charitable donations online.

Whether you donate by credit card or Interac online, there are several ways to make your contribution:

  • One-time donations
  • Monthly giving
  • Gifts in honour or in memory of someone

CanadaHelps.org will also automatically issue an official tax receipt by email for every donation.

You can become a benefactor to Community Living Wallaceburg with relative ease. Your lifetime of diligence and hard work has given you certain assets. By choosing one of the options below you have the ability to turn some of your assets into gifts that will support the objectives of our agency and receive a direct financial benefit in return. For every planned gift made, there is a significant tax benefit for you, the donor.

We have selected seven options for your consideration:

  • Charity of Choice
As individuals and families, we experience joyous occasions and time of loss. One way of expressing yourself is to direct your donation or those of others to Community Living Wallaceburg.
  • Gift of Life Insurance
Assigning the agency as the benefactor of a life insurance policy is one of the most innovative and exciting means of contributing. A policy can be specifically designed with a modest premium that eventually provides a substantial gift. You may wish to take out a life insurance plan on yourself or your family with Community Living Wallaceburg as the beneficiary. You may also have a “paid-up” life insurance policy that you would like to give to the agency.
  • Bequest in a Will
If you do not have a Will, you should consult your family and lawyer immediately and have one drawn up. Without a Will, your estate can be tied up in court and eroded by legal fees and taxes. Your Will may be used to leave a lump sum or a percentage of your estate to Community Living Wallaceburg.
  • Gift of Property
Both residential and commercial property can be directly donated to the agency or used to fund a gift annuity.
  • Bequest of Securities
Stocks, bonds, GICs, and securities can be donated to Community Living Wallaceburg. They are as good as cash gifts and you enjoy the same tax benefit.
  • Gift of Annuity
An annuity gift is like an investment. You give a sum of money to the agency and receive a percentage of the money every year until you die. Any asset (money, RRSP proceeds, property, jewellery, works of art, guaranteed investment certificates) can be donated and turned into a gift annuity.
  • Anderson Resource Library
Community Living Wallaceburg strives to maintain an extensive supply of current publications, videos/audio cassettes, articles, and other resource materials. These are available to the public and are often used to promote awareness and understanding of Community Living. A listing of our resources to contribute towards is available. An attractive certificate will be placed on the publication recognizing your generous gift.

For more information on donating to the agency, please contact:
