Important Updates

As we move into the summer months we continue to experience our “new normal” with respect to the ongoing circulation of COVID-19 in our community, we would like to share some updates and changes to current Agency procedures with our community.

You may have seen that there was an announcement several weeks ago elimination asymptomatic Rapid Antigen Testing requirements for Long Term Care. This week the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services took a similar step communicating that these tests were no longer a requirement for visitors and staff in Congregate Care settings. Effective Immediately, Community Living Wallaceburg will be taking the following steps:

Asymptomatic Surveillance testing is no longer a requirement.
Visitors to Accommodation Support homes are no longer required to complete a Rapid Antigen Test prior to entering these facilities or either of our 1100 Dufferin or 939 Dufferin offices.

At this time, medical masks are still required and will be provided prior to being welcomed into the home or office.

Please note that we are continuing to review our existing COVID-19 policies and procedures and will make changes based on the level of risk within our community. Remember, the most important measure for preventing the transmission of COVID-19 within the workplace is ongoing self-assessment.
