WALLACEBURG, Ontario – On Tuesday, September 10, 2024 Community Living Wallaceburg’s Wallaceburg Wolves Baseball Team will be taking on Team Select Finishing for their end of season Aaron VanDorsselaer Grand Slam.
Despite interruptions of both heat and rain again this year, the Wolves came out in full force week after week to enjoy a fun game of baseball, take turns hitting the ball, running bases, practicing their skills and enjoying camaraderie. Courageously stepping in to take on The Wolves in this end of season game are both employees and administration of Select Finishing Ltd..
In memory of her late husband Aaron, Rachel Van Dorsselaer will be throwing out the first pitch and CKXS’s morning show host Tanner will be Commentating on the game. Immediately following, thanks to our sponsors, Select Finishing Ltd. will be hosting a BBQ. Tracey Jardine, Accounting Manager states “Select Finishing continues to be significant supporters of the great work of Community Living Wallaceburg and our team couldn’t be happier to be both playing in the Grand Slam and supporting the BBQ.”
Clay Scott, Manager of Community Participation & Family Supports for CLW and one of the team coaches states, “There is no comparison to the excitement when a Wolf rounds the bases after a big hit and the thrill spreads to everyone – players and spectators alike. No matter who you are, everyone is welcome in the wolf pack!”
Members of the public are invited to come out to “howl” on The Wolves and Team Select Finishing, and to enjoy a time of fellowship at the BBQ. Community Living Wallaceburg and The Wolves also want to give a shout out to the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame for their sponsorship for the 2024 season.
