After a comprehensive search, Community Living Wallaceburg is pleased to welcome Deborah Hook as its new Executive Director. Deborah will commence employment with the agency January 4, 2016.
Originally from Chatham-Kent, Deborah is a practiced leader and project manager with a broad range of experiences and accomplishments. With a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and a Certificate in Corporate Governance from Laval University, Deborah is fully bilingual. Her career in government includes acting as Senior Political Advisor to members of the Quebec National Assembly and the Quebec Treasury Board. Her work in community includes being Executive Director of a not-for-profit, English-language community services network, and for the past several years, she has held various leadership positions within addictions and mental health services. Most recently Deborah has been Project Manager with Bluewater Health in Sarnia, where she successfully developed the business case for a multi-million dollar expansion of their community based mental health services. Her community involvement includes membership on the Board of Directors – YMCA Southwestern Ontario, and a Facilitator with the Restorative Justice Program.
Deborah is succeeding David Katzman, who announced his retirement in June from Community Living Wallaceburg after 27 years of serving as the Executive Director.
