Wallaceburg ON – On March 23, Community Living Wallaceburg (CLW) virtually celebrated the launch of its new Strategic Plan Dream, Believe, Overcome and Achieve.
Over a year ago, CLW began an in-depth consultation with internal and external stakeholders to help create a new Vision, Purpose and Strategic Priorities. Even as the Coronavirus slowed the creative building process, the input from the stakeholders combined with the positive changes that emerged during the pandemic has positioned the Agency to move into the future with confidence in their new plan.
Ben Hazzard, President of the Board, and Deborah Hook, Executive Director, led the virtual launch, sharing the renewed purpose and vision that lay out the path forward to guide Community Living Wallaceburg in the years ahead.
“Dream, Believe, Overcome and Achieve captures what mattered most to the people who helped build this strategic plan. In focus groups, telephone interviews and e-surveys, people who use our services, family members, supporters, employees of the organization, community partners and the Board of Directors were challenged to think about what they would like their life to look like and how our Agency can help them get there. Their words and insights are the foundation of the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan and at the core of the services and supports provided by Community Living Wallaceburg.” said Hazzard.
“It’s exciting to see the creative building process come to a head and finally share the plan with the people supported, family members, trusted supporters, dedicated employees and the community,” stated Hook.
The foundation of the plan transitions into a more person-centred design where supports and services are co-designed with the people who use them.
Strategic priorities focus our energy and efforts as we bring our new vision to life. Our priorities reflect our purpose, build on our assets and strengths, and align with the role we hope to be able to play in the lives of people who choose Community Living Wallaceburg for services and supports.
Over the next four years, CLW will pursue goals and take actions that result in:
- Responsive and personalized pathways
- Better connected and integrated supports
- An engaged team and supportive workplace
- Greater integration of technology
- A transformed business model
- A focus on innovation and excellence
The Agency anticipates that this new strategic plan will empower the people affiliated with Community Living Wallaceburg to dream big, believe in themselves, overcome barriers, achieve their goals, and live the life they choose.
