David Katzman, Executive Director of Community Living Wallaceburg has announced his plan to retire in December 2015. Katzman has been the Executive Director of Community Living Wallaceburg for over 25 years.
Having spent over four decades in community development, David initiated and helped shape a variety of programs ensuring positive behavioral practices and service planning, for persons who have an intellectual disability, those who are deafblind and those within the autism spectrum. He was instrumentally involved in the province-wide movement to close Ontario’s remaining institutions and assisted individuals and their families to make safe and secure transitions to a fuller life in the community.
“David has provided strong leadership and has been a champion of our mission while growing the agency’s range of service and community profile,” says Derek McGivern, Board President. “David regularly contributed to provincial policy and advocacy initiatives affecting the developmental and intervenor services sectors.”
Oxenham Consultants Incorporated has been hired to conduct a comprehensive executive search to secure a new Executive Director for Community Living Wallaceburg.
