As we celebrate how we can make a difference and have fun at the same time, Shanna comes to mind immediately. A familiar face and voice to Wallaceburg, Shanna’s enthusiasm and positivity are unmatched. Whether volunteering at/or attending local events, her confidence and pride for her hometown makes her an outstanding community ambassador.
Volunteering as a means of giving back, Shanna says it best, “My community is really important to me. It’s filled with so many amazing people and offers a lot of unique and exciting events to enjoy. Together, everyone stands up and supports each other in times of need. Together, all things are possible.” A role model for others, her determination and lead-by-example attitude are rays of encouragement to all.
Supported by Community Living Wallaceburg for many years, her volunteerism serves a dual-purpose: Shanna is a champion of inclusivity and an invaluable advocate for our Agency. She is always the first to step-up, sharing stories and experiences with others or giving her time to fundraising events and activities such as our Annual Golf Classic and Box Lunch. With a smile on her face, always ready to welcome new people, Shanna is making a difference and having fun.
