A last-minute phone call has developed into several significant endeavours by a strong trio of business and community leaders, which interconnect around the common theme of what can happen when people come together and dream big.

An exciting new three-way partnership has formed between Porsche Centre London  – “The brand for those who follow their dreams,” Blenheim’s Red Barn Brewing Company – where a love of the farm and the dream of a barn and a stubby old beer bottle lead to

“taking it to the next level,” and Community Living Wallaceburg ‘s strategy – with the support of those around them, people can dream, believe, overcome and achieve.

When Sonia-Michelle Desouza, Marketing & Digital Manager with Porsche Center London met Denny Vervaet, owner of The Red Barn Brewing Co. at last year’s CLW golf tournament, magic happened and Community Living Wallaceburg is reaping the rewards.  “We were looking for a creative way to bring the Porsche brand into this geographical area, and immediately connected with Community Living Wallaceburg’s brand. It became the reason we wanted to partner with Community Living Wallaceburg in the first place, and here we are making more dreams come true with outstanding cars, amazing craft beer, in a field and in a barn!”

Red Barn Brewing is proud to partner with Community Living alongside Porsche Centre London in creating this collaborative event, which will include exciting auctions, live music, food trucks on site and a special Community Living branded brew. Red Barn has been known for partnering and collaborating with local businesses and charitable organizations. This event is another example of their commitment to creating a ‘community hub’.

Porsche Centre of London has recently collaborated with Red Barn Brewing Co. by creating a custom Porsche branded beer and will be partnering together throughout the year with different events and festivals across Southern Ontario. Denny Vervaet, owner of Red Barn Brewing says, “I’ve always been a huge auto fan, so it’s exciting at the thought that we are working with one of my favourite high-end automobile car brands! The team at Porsche and Red Barn have started working on some major events and products for the year and into the future, and it gives me chills on how far we have come in creating and building these great relationships in Chatham-Kent and beyond!”

Today CLW officially launches a series of silent auction items from which the successful bidder will get to experience the freedom & independence that Porsche epitomises.  Additionally, on May 25th, Red Barn Brewing Co. launch one of their favourite brews in a specially designed Community Living Wallaceburg label. Designed to not only promote CLW’s mission of dream, believe, overcome and achieve, but through a cleverly placed QR code on this sleeve, consumers are able to make a donation in support of the Agency’s investment in their front line workers specialized First Aid Mental Health Training.

Community Living Wallaceburg has been hosting various events & activities throughout the month of May to both celebrate and promote authentic community inclusion for people who have an intellectual and developmental disability and their families.  It culminated with an event hosted at the Red Barn Brewing Company featuring Windsor musician Crystal Gage – an avid supporter of individuals living with disabilities.

When asked how he got involved, Denny says, “The staff at CLW popped by for a visit with a proposal in hand and we chatted about the possibilities.  It just made sense to offer up the barn for this great event!  This is an accessible building and the perfect environment for a country music concert! The opportunity to support the Mental Health First Aid Training really resonated with us.”

Deborah Hook, Executive Director with Community Living Wallaceburg stated, “We’re proud to take a leadership role in making Chatham-Kent an inclusive community. Our strategic vision of co-creating and delivering supports and services to empower people to overcome barriers and live the life they choose is a great fit with both Red Barn Brewing Company and the Porsche brand.  It’s exciting to collaborate and receive support from these powerful brands and businesses who endorse our vision of empowerment for all within an inclusive community.”
