Community Living Wallaceburg’s Box Lunch makes its return!

Community Living Wallaceburg’s Annual Box Lunch returns on Thursday, April 18 to celebrate its 20th anniversary, hoping for the communities support in helping achieve the goal of selling 2,000 lunches! After a long and much anticipated wait, the Agency has teamed up with Foodland Dresden and The Black Goose Grill to revitalize the popular fundraiser, alongside some tasty new twists.

An exciting change this year, lunches will feature your choice of wrap, each handcrafted by and at The Black Goose Grill. “I’m a proud supporter of the great work of Community Living Wallaceburg,” shared Mark Childs, of The Black Goose. “The idea to switch to wraps works out great for everyone. They’re quick to prepare, and a popular menu item we offer,” Mark added. Mindful of post-pandemic handling of both food and money, lunches will need to be ordered and paid for online.

Available for $15 each, lunches will include a classic Black Goose Grill wrap, a bag of plain potato chips, bottle of water, an apple and cookie, all served in a reusable thermal lunch bag. Lunches must be ordered online by visiting www.clwboxlunch.com between March 20 and April 10, 2024.

“The Annual Box Luncheon is a remarkable experience to be a part of,” Roger Romses, Executive Director commented. “The event brings together local businesses, volunteers and persons supported by our agency, demonstrating an inclusive community.” The Black Goose Grill will serve as headquarters, where lunches will be packaged and hand-delivered directly to your door. Roger added that, “Thanks to the support of over 50 volunteers, we’re able to accept orders from across Chatham-Kent and its surrounding areas.” Anyone available and interested in helping deliver lunches this year is encouraged to contact the Fund Development & Communications team at CCFD@getintocommunityliving.com.

Order your lunch today by visiting www.clwboxlunch.com. The deadline to order is April 8, 2024. For more information, please email ccfd@getintocommunityliving.com.
