2019 Travel Club Lottery Draws Record Ticket Sales and One Lucky Winner
2019 is off to a good start for Dave Polowick of Chatham as he was named the grand prize winner of our 2019 Travel Club Lottery. The vacation — a $3,498 value — includes flights and 7 nights accommodations in the unforgettable destination of Faro, Portugal.
The Grand Prize draw, which took place December 31st, is one of six getaways and twelve $50 cash prizes that will be drawn over the course of 2019. This year saw a record amount of ticket sold, with all 425 tickets being purchased before the Chirstmas deadline. Net proceeds from the fundraiser will enhance services and supports to over 400 people with intellectual disabilities in Wallaceburg and across Chatham-Kent.
“We were overwhelmed with the enthusiam and generosity of our local community towards this lottery,” says Rhian Reilly, Communication and Fund Development Specialist. “We want to sincerely thank everyone for purchasing tickets and making the 2019 Travel Club Lottery a success. Fundraisers such as this are only possible because we have the support from volunteers, employees and local businesses who help promote ticket sales and assist in being advocates for the Agency.”
