We were honoured to present an award at the Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business & Community Excellence Awards event which was held on Thursday, November 1st at the CBD Club in Wallaceburg.

The Community Inclusion Award, sponsored by Community Living Wallaceburg, is presented to a local business who shows an exemplary effort to employ individuals in the community and help provide stable and rewarding jobs to all those who have intellectual disabilities.

Badder Bus Lines were the recipient of this year’s award and Community Living Wallaceburg’s Wendy Smith, Employment Services Supervisor, and Dale Brown, Community Support Worker, were at the event to present the award to Doug Badder from Badder Bus Lines.

Wendy commented, “We’re extremely lucky to be part of such a welcoming and inclusive community.  It’s vitally important for individuals with intellectual disabilities to gain confidence and independence through employment and we couldn’t do what we do without the support of organizations like Badder Buses.”

The other nominees for this year’s award included: Select Finishing and McDonalds.
